Forging Tools for Woodworkers

There are few things as gratifying as forging a tool then taking that tool to the wood shop and using it to make something else!  In this course we will learn the basics of forging axes, adzes, drawknives, chisels, etc.  Students will focus on crafting simple, well made tools that are tempered to hold a keen edge and designed to work.  Whether a beginner or more experienced blacksmith, this class will be a great opportunity to develop your understanding of forging and metallurgy. Instructor: Matthew Shirey
