Intermediate Jewelry: Adding Color

August 28

Intermediate Jewelry: Adding Color

In this 10-week course, we will focus on exploring ways to incorporate color into jewelry pieces using several different techniques. We will practice basic enameling on copper and on fine silver. In addition, we will explore techniques for creating anodized titanium pieces and adding intense or subtle color to the finished piece. Students will make multiple samples during class while learning how the materials behave. During the last few weeks of the class, we will be using these samples, or creating new designs, to use in other forms of jewelry. We will learn various cold connections such as rivets, tab construction and bezels in order to make finished pieces. Instructor: Greta Lutman
