Intermediate Jewelry Fabrication: Focus on Findings

Prerequisite Beginning Jewelry Fabrication 1 or 2

Wednesday Nights, 6-9 pm

In this 10-week class, we will research, design and fabricate various pieces of jewelry that require the construction of findings, that is, the hardware that is used to secure pieces together and onto the body. In particular, we will tackle some common pieces of jewelry that require specific types of findings such as hoop earrings, a brooch with a pin back, and a hinged piece of the student’s choice. The successful construction of elegant, simple and ingenious findings can elevate a maker’s metalwork projects to a new level; from casual to craft. Instructor: Greta Lutman
