Wire Jewelry: Wire Wrapping

The use of wire in jewelry making is essential. Students will learn how when and where to use wire; gauges, shapes, etc. as well as explore the multiple uses of wire in making jewelry such as wire wrapping a stone, wire jig, wrapping loops on beads, bails, clasps, etc. Projects the student will learn how to make and take home are a wire wrapped stone pendant, beaded chain with clasp to complete the necklace, wire shaped earrings, if time a wire constructed bracelet. Gemstone beads can be added to the pieces. Instructor: Nirado Sloan
