The 2014 Haywood Community College Professional Craft’s graduate exhibition officially opened Saturday May 31 at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville, NC. A reception was held in honor of this year’s graduating class in the main gallery, with family, friends, faculty, staff and alumni converging to celebrate with the artists….
We just fired up our new wood kiln! Used 4 pickup truck loads of dry hemlock and about 10 hours of stoking to take it to cone 10 – great results for a first firing in a new kiln!
